3 Dec—Feb 2026—Granville, NSW
We left Cardiff early on Thursday morning and travelled on the A1/Pacific Highway to Granville. It was straight back into the crazy-busy suburban hustle – if ever we needed a reminder of why we chose to sell-up and hit the road, this was it!
Reflecting on our overall 107 day, 3-state loop; we had an absolutely fantastic time. After some initial mechanical/electrical hiccups, the truck and CARDIS performed faultlessly. Weather was generally fine – only a few days with any rain – although *very* windy almost everywhere. We were privileged to see some iconic parts of our country (Great Ocean Road, Adelaide Hills, Flinders Ranges, Lake Eyre) and spent some wonderful hours and days reconnecting with family, some of whom we’d not seen in donkey’s years! We continue to be amazed by the variety of scenery that Australia presents us; almost every day gave us a different landscape, sometimes so radically different as to make us wonder if we were even in the same country.
