1972-Tonsillectomy at Gilgandra Hospital. (Maureen had hers done at the same time)

1981-Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). This was caused by using the computer excessively fast, very often. I was working as a Data Entry Officer for Charge Card Services and my job was to enter al the paper Mastercard transactions, as fast as possible and after only six months I have RSI for life.

1998-Achilles tendon repair-right. This tear occurred while playing tennis at Granville Baptist Church camp at Springwood. The repair was done at Westmead Hospital. Apparently all the student doctors had to hear my description of what had happened. “It felt like I was hit in the back of my heel by a baseball bat.” This is how it is recorded in text books for training, almost word for word.

2 May 2000-Fundoplication performed by Dr Brancatisano at Westmead Hospital. This was needed to assist was reflux as my oesophagus did not have a flap to stop the reflux occurring.

13 June 2000-Oopherectomy at Westmead Hospital to resolve the endometriosis adhesions.

I was taken for urgent surgery and the operation took eight hours. When I woke after the op I was in ICU and stayed there for two days before being moved to a general ward. I went into hospital for three days and left after 20 days.
